Not surprised this was blown out of proportion. That being said, I wouldn't blame him signing in Sweden or requesting a trade. Old petey and Lou have jerked him around enough already. There's no reason to have Harrold playing more than him.

Inconsistent but showed some flashes. He's cheap and didn't really underproduce his contract. The Devils just don't have too much talent up front so he's too heavily relied on.

And we use the term "players" loosely.
So if Larsson does bolt does that mean Harrold stays?!

Larsson isn't waiver exempt meaning regardless of the next contract he signs he'd have to clear waivers in order to be sent down. Larsson would never clear waivers, so Larsson will be playing in the NHL next season whether for the Devils or another franchise if they elect to make him available via trade this summer.

You lost me here... he doesn't have a contract right now, so he can sign anywhere outside of NA that he wants. The Devils would just retain his NHL rights until he's 27. He doesn't have to pass through waivers at any point.

How as Larsson been jerked around? Overall, he has not played well in his 3 years in the Devils system.

Last yr, they gave him a chance with Greene and he could not handle playing against top competition. Last year, He was waiver exempt and they did the smart thing and sent him down.

Compare him to Merrill, who is less than a year older than Larsson. Merrill showed he could handle the responsibility and he was in the lineup.
